Reports from Harrisburg indicate that Pennsylvania raked in more than $5 billion for the calendar year that ended on June 30th. That $5 billion figure topped the $3.9 billion reported for the 12 months prior to this report. Officials relate the surge in revenues to people gambling online, and going back to casinos across the state after the pandemic lock down was lifted. Online gambling took in some $1.2 billion, while sports betting picked up an additional $325 million in new revenue. This report makes the keystone state tops in the nation for tax revenues associated with gambling income. Nevada is number 1 in overall gambling revenues in the nation.
