News reports indicate that Congresswoman Jackie Walorski a republican from the state of Indiana was killed in a two vehicle accident yesterday. The police report states that Walorski and two of her staff members were in her car driving on state road 19 in Elkhart County when a car crossed the center line and struck the legislators car head on. Walorski’s director of communications, Emma Thompson and and another staffer were killed in that crash. Thompson was a native of Johnstown, and a Bishop McCort graduate. Thompson had worked for 13th district Congressman Dr. John Joyce before going to work for congresswoman Walorski. Cong. Joyce said that there was no greater champion for Johnstown and Cambria County than Emma Thompson.
