The Altoona Mirror reports that police arrested 35 year old Tyler Long after he allegedly broke into a home on Everett Road in Freedom Twp early Saturday morning. Police say that long got in through a back door, and went into the bedroom of a woman who was sleeping. Long is charged with grabbing the woman and throwing her into a wall. He also took her cellphone. The victim managed to get to a second phone, lock herself in her bedroom and called police. Long was picked up at a motorcycle shop in Martinsburg, and denied breaking into the woman’s home, but later gave up the cellphone and admitted to being at her home. Long was charged with burglary, criminal trespass, simple assault and theft by unlawful taking. He was released after posting $100,000 unsecured bail.
