A report by CBS indicates the Central Dauphin East school board has suspended a teacher for telling students to stand for the pledge of allegiance. The report suggests that some of Sharon Davis’ students refused to stand, so they resorted to calling her a racist and being homophobic. The students and their parents claim that Davis tried to bully the students into standing for the pledge and allegedly questioned them about their religion. The middle school students also say that Davis used racial slurs against some of the students. Davis told the board she was trying to understand why the children were opposed to standing for the pledge. Davis was suspended in June
