Security upgrade in Blair County offices

In a report by WTAJ, the county commissioners announced yesterday that door upgrades to the 4 offices of the county’s district judges will be take place with new solid core doors. Each will cost the county between $1500-$2500, and are intended to provide more security for judges, their staffs and citizens who are inside these courtrooms. Commissioner Amy Webster said that safety is a top priority with county officials, and will be dealt with on an ongoing basis. The doors are scheduled to be installed before the end of the year. The commissioners did not reveal any other security plans for the moment.
