According to a television news report from Harrisburg, Republican candidate Doug Mastriano has apparently sent a letter to his Democratic opponent Josh Shapiro, challenging him to what Mastriano called a “fair debate”. The letter reportedly stated that the debate would only take place if the questions were fair, and not slanted by a biased news media who are left leaning. The terms are as follows, each candidate would choose a site for one debate, with each choosing a moderator to ask questions. Also, the debates would be open to all media, with no exclusivity for any one specific media outlet. The time limit would be 90 minutes, and the questions would not have any time limits for answers. No word on whether Shapiro has accepted, or if the debates would even take place.
