According to a state police report, and WJAC TV, troopers report the accident occurred on private property along Pump Station lane in Rush Twp. Investigators say that 57 year old John Markel of Tyrone was reportedly riding the ATV when he left the trail and crashed. Troopers say that Markel was taken to Clearfield Hospital, where he died from his injuries. No further details were released by police. The investigation into the cause of the accident will continue.
