
In a published report in the Altoona Mirror, Chief Tim Hileman announced recently that he will be leaving the office after 24 years as a member of the city fire dept. Hileman became fire chief some 10 years ago after the retirement of long time Chief Renny Santone. The city has announced that deputy chief Adam Free will become the interim chief once Hileman officially retires at the the end of this week. City city will choose its next permanent chief through its human resources process. Chief Hileman was given a golden spike by Mayor Matt Pacifico at last nights city council meeting.
