A report by channel 6 indicates that Gov Wolf made the announcement that would provide for free breakfast for the remainder of the school year. The $21.5 million price tag will be funded by monies from the School Food Services General Fund. Kids would then be able to get a free breakfast at their schools. The federal money that funded a free lunch program dried up last year. And this new program will replace that one. Officials say since that free program started, consumption of free meals increased 16% across pa. Wolf said that all schools across pa can use the program. The report said that 1.7 million students would qualify.
