A report from Harrisburg indicates that Brian Rickard was sentenced yesterday to 2 years of house arrest to be followed by 3 years of probation. Rickard was accused of stealing drugs from the evidence room at troop R barracks in Honesdale, he then used state police computers to cover up his thefts. State police also said that Rickard would use the stolen drugs while he was on the job. The Attorney General’s office conducted the investigation. Rickard was a trooper since 2003.
