According to a report by WTAJ, many people in search of a job stopped by the Jaffa Shrine yesterday for the Blair County Career Fair. Some 82 employers were seeking new job applicants and potential employees at the fair. Employers talked to applicants about wages, work environment and their needs in order to try and recruit them for a particular job opportunity. Right now, Pa’s unemployment rate is 4.2%, the lowest since June 2000. In Blair County, the jobless rate stands at 4.4%. Some of those on hand also offered on the job training and apprenticeships as an incentive. Another career fair is scheduled for October 20th in Huntingdon County.
