oman convicted for giving gun to teen
The Altoona Mirror reports that a jury took less than 10 minutes to convict 28 year old Alisa Ramcharan of giving a gun to a teen, which led to a shooting incident back in June 2021. Ramcharan told police that her gun went missing from her home, but later admitted she allowed 18 year old William Kern to have the gun. He in turn sold it to another teen, Preston Weakland who then allegedly fired the gun at two people in broad daylight. Ramcharan is facing sentencing in January. D.A. Pete weeks said that she will get either county or state jail time. He will decide what course of sentencing he will recommend after he reviews the sentencing guidelines.
