A report by the Altoona Mirror indicates that 44 year old Erica Eckert of Roaring Spring was sentenced to 4 ½ to 10 years in state prison for possessing a large a mount of methamphetmine. Eckert pleaded guilty before Judge Jackie Bernard in Blair County court. Eckert admitted to possessing some 6 lbs of meth, along with cocaine and fentanyl back in 2021. Court records indicate that Eckert and a friend, Jayme Walter made regular trips to Allentown to purchase drugs. Eckert will serve 15 years of probation once her prison term has expired.
