Television news reports indicate that fire broke out at the Hardee’s restaurant in Breezewood on Saturday. Officials say that the fire may have started inside a broiler, and the flames spread quickly inside the ventilation equipment. Much of the roof was in flames by the time firefighters arrived on scene. The owner of the building was quoted as saying that the ventilation fan was running without it proper cover in place. The building is listed as a total loss. There were no injuries reported.
