News reports indicate that police used their taser to subdue 47 year old Kevin Waite in his Tyrone home last Thursday. The report states that police arrived at Waite’s home to check on a noise complaint. While there, police informed Waite that they had a warrant for his arrest from the Blair County Sheriff’s Dept. Waite began to run after he went to put on a shirt. He was chased on several streets then ordered to stop. When he refused, he told police to tase him, so they did. Waite was taken to Penn Highlands Hospital where he was not cooperating, and refused treatment. He was arraigned last week and charged with escape, resisting arrest and disorderly conduct.
