News reports indicate that police arrested 31 year old Hakiem Freeman of Huntingdon, for leading police on a 14 mile chase in the Johnstown area on Sunday. The reports suggest that police were watching a suspicious vehicle and person in the Solomon Homes area of the city late Sunday morning. Police tried to stop freeman but he took off from the area and was going through city streets doing at least 90 mph. Freeman then crashed the car, and fled on foot, running for 3 miles in a wooded area along route 271. He was arrested and charged with fleeing police, reckless endangerment, unlawful restraint, and traffic offenses. Freeman was also wanted on outstanding warrants in Dauphin County.
