The Altoona Mirror reports that the budget was introduced yesterday with no property tax increases included. The real estate millage will remain at 4.097 mills, which is estimated to bring in $32 million in revenue. There is a $1.57 million deficit, but that can be resolved by using funds from the county’s unassigned fund balance which stands at $13.9 million/. The budget also contains money from the american rescue plan act. The budget will now stand open to the public until final adoption, which is scheduled for December 27th.
