News reports indicate that police have charged 38 year old Anthony Plotts of Hopewell with the attack on the child back in July. The reports indicate that the child was injured July 26th, with Plotts allegedly telling police that another child had pushed him to the ground causing head trauma. But a doctor at UPMC Bedford ruled that the child suffered non accidental trauma, which caused a brain bleed. An investigation followed, and Plotts was charged because he was the child’s guardian at the time. Doctors in Pittsburgh also confirmed the head trauma as non accidental. Plotts is charged with felony aggravated assault, child endangerment, assault, reckless endangerment and harassment.
