A report by WJAC indicates police have charged 25 year old William Newswanger of allegedly molesting a family member when he was 22 or 23 years old. An investigation began back in October, that culminated with Newswanger turning himself into police. The victim told police that she and Newswanger were playing a game that turned into the alleged sexual assault. Newswanger also reportedly told police he tried to have sexual relations with another member of his family 3 or 4 years ago when that juvenile was 16. Newswanger is charged with attempted statutory sexual assault, attempted incest of a minor, corruption of minors and indecent assault.
