A report by WJAC indicates that Centre County Commissioner Michael Pipe has resigned from his commissioners job to take a position as deputy chief of staff for public safety with Gov elect Josh Shapiro’s administration. Pipe told channel 6 that this was an opportunity that was created by the momentum created by Shapiro’s win in November, and it was a chance he could not pass up. State College school board President Amber Concepcion was appointed to replace Pipe on the board of commissioners to finish out his term, which expires at the end of this year.
