Warren Zevon was the only guest on the Late Show with David Letterman October 30th, 2002. It was his last appearance, and both he and Letterman knew it would be.
“You put more value in every minute… It’s more valuable now. You’re reminded to enjoy every sandwich.” Zevon died September 7th, 2003 of peritoneal mesothelioma, a form of lung cancer.
