WTAJ reports that the county commissioners have approved over $1 million worth of state grants. One of these grants, $315,000 comes from the Dept of Community and Economic Development and will go towards getting greater access to affordable housing for residents, and to try and reduce the number of homeless people living without hosing.. The second grant, whch totals more than $741,000 will go toward housing repair projects and improved weatherization of affordable housing. 104 applications for improvements were received by the county.
