Child sex abuse bill passes house, on to Senate

On Friday, it was announced that thte state house passed legislation that would give abuse victims 2 years to file suit against their alleged abusers. The house vote was 161-40 and that vote sent the bill onto the senate,where house members say it could run into problems. Blair County representavie Jim Gregory has been pushing for passage of such a bill for several years, and Friday urged the state Senate to waste no time and pass the bill. House speaker Mark Rozzi, also spoke about the bill, telling the senate no to stall and get the bill passed. Rozzi claims to have been a victim of childhood sexual abuse.
