A report in the Altoona Mirror indicates police arrested 38 year old Andrew Berkheimer at his residence last Friday on charges of drug possessison. The story indicates that Berkheimer was at home when police arrived with search warrants. He led them to where he allegedly stashed the drugs, which police said was enough to fill 500 bags with a combination of heroin and fentanyl. Police also report they found what they suspect is methamphetamines, lsd and other drugs. Police said that the fentanyl and another white powder found in the apartment could have been lethal had they been mixed. Berkheimer is charged with felony possession with intent to deliver, and possession of controlled substances.
