Reports from Washington indicate that newly elected Senator John Fetterman will likely remain in Walter Reed Army Hospital for several more weeks for treatment of chronic depression. A statement from Fetterman’s office says that the senator has battled depression for years, but it only recently became chronic and severe. Fetterman is still recovering from a stroke he suffered last may. His doctors say that depression is a common occurence in people who suffer strokes, but it is treatable. Senator Bob Casey just recently returned to the Senate after undergoing surgery for prostate cancer.
