According to a report out of Westmoreland county, police have charged Dr. Jessie Kunkel for allegedly writing prescriptions for patients, and keeping pills for herself for her personal use. The report says that Dr. Kunkel would allegedly write scripts for Xanax and Adderall since 2018. Kunkel is accused of picking up the drugs herself, and even using patients insurance to cover the cost of the drugs. She is charged with possession with intent to deliver, possession of a controlled substance, insurance fraud, acquisition of controlled substances by fraud, deception, forgery, dispensing, sale of and distribution by a medical practitioner not authorized to do so.
