The Altoona Mirror reported that the supervisors have approved an agreement with the cable casting company to come into the township to provide competition for Breezeline. Supervisor Jim Patterson says that competition will bring better service and possible lower prices. Township officials say that Comcast has been in their area for several months getting ready to serve customers. But that service had to wait until a franchise agreement was in place. Several other blair county areas have agreements with Comcast in place. The city of Altoona is still working to hopefully get a franchise agreement with Comcast.
