Television and newspaper reports suggest that the FAA reported a security concern when a checked bag came under suspicion. Flights were directed elsewhere, delayed or canceled. On the ground, some 100 passengers headed for Chicago were taken off a plane and taken to Penn State after a checked bag was flagged for what was called suspicious images. After investigating, authorities determined the contents to be a circuit board and a power source. The airport was re-opened after the investigation rendered the airport safe.
