A report by WTAJ indicates that residents of Walker Twp are not in favor of a proposed solar farm that is proposed to take up some 100 acres of land. One resident told channel 10 that township supervisors had 6 months to decide on the farm, let that deadline pass, then were given a 30 day extension by the company proposing to build the farm, and now the idea is back on the table. Some said that the ground that is targeted for the farm is used by the general public and would be lost forever, and could raise cane with property values near the site. The supervisors had no comment on the matter. One resident called the farm nothing but a sea of glass and metal.
