The attorney general of Ohio said that this accident will reverberate in his state for many years, and he also said that this was a highly preventable accident. Many residents of East Palestine say they are afraid of what the effects on their health will be, and whether they will be able to return to their homes. NS has promised at least $20 million for a cleanup effort, but it may cost much more than that as the days and weeks pass.
