News reports indicate that police have charged 28 year old James Lockett and his 45 year old mother Melissa Pritchard both from Grassflat, with assaulting the infant. The reports indicate that the baby was taken to a local hospital, then the child was flown to UPMC Childrens hospital in Pittsburgh and doctors there discovered the child had the broken ribs caused by blunt force trauma. And they also said that trauma was the only way the child could have been injured. Both Pritchard and Lockett have been charged with felony child endangerment, simple assault and conspiracy.
