News reports sugest that charges have been re-filed against 27 year old Alec Rhoads of Mount Carmel for the death of 53 year old Daren Lingenfelter. Police and prosecutors say that Rhoads allegedly shot Lingenfelter in the neck with a crossbow. In the initial investigation, prosecutor Leslie Childers-Potts dropped the case citing lack of DNA evidence against Rhoads. But, charges of criminal homicide, 3rd degree murder, aggravated assault, and endangering another person were re-filed yesterday. One witness reportedly posted on facebook that Rhoads reached out to her about shooting Lingenfelter, and that he asked her to say it was an accident.
