A report in the Altoona Mirror indicates that Jodi Wineland testified that they left their home, but not because of her husband, but she claimed the that police escalated the situation into a standoff. In court yesterday, Wineland was shown a police body cam video of her and her daughters telling an officer that they were fearful her husband, who was intoxicated at the time. Wineland told the court that she went to the police station to deescalate the situation. Testimony will continue against John Wineland today, who is charged with aggravated assault, terroristic threats and reckless endangerment.
