A report by WTAJ indicates that the Penn State board of trustees has once again put forth a request to the state legislature for an increase in funding for the 24-25 school calendar. That request comes to an additional $483 million more than the school will receive this year, which is $120 million more than what psu officials think they will get this year. That amount is not certain because of the ongoing state budget dilemma. Penn State says that their per student funding ranks last among Pennsylvania’s public universities. President Dr. Neeli Bendaputi says the school is trying to keep tuition costs down, while it tries to revamp their budget and cut costs.
