According to a report in the Altoona Mirror, jurors were dismissed this week, after it was learned that an out of court settlement could be in the works for one of the lawsuits. The suits were brought on behalf of two victims of convicted former wrestling coach Ryan Blazier. He is serving 21-42 years for the sexual assault of two wrestlers that were under his purview. Blazier maintains his innocense in pursuit of an appeal. The two lawsuits claim that the Bellwood Antis school district failed to protect the two victims from a predator. If no out of court agreement is reached, then the suits will probably go to trial.
