A report by WTAJ indicates that the commissioners have approve the purchase of a body scanning machine for he jail. They say this will help to make security stronger at the facility. Right now, there is nothing at the entrance where guards, staff and inmates enter the building, to stop people from bringing in just about anything. There is a metal detector that is used only by the public at the main entrance. Authorities at the jail have been dealing with a large number of overdose cases, and they wan to stop the influx of any drugs or contraband from coming in. No word on when the purchase will be made.
