A report by WJAC indicates that the family of 21 year old Sarah Katz says that their daughter died after she consumed a drink that was reportedly heavy with caffeine. The report states that Katz purchased an charged lemonade drink at an undisclosed Panera Bread location, and died shortly after finishing the drink. Her parents say that she had an underlying heart condition and was told to avoid caffeine. The drink supposedly contains 123 grams of sugar in a 30 oz size, and also contains 390 milligrams of caffeine, which is the equivalent of 4 cups of coffee or 10 cans of Coca Cola. The FDA says that ingredients do not have to be listed on packaging of any items of food or drink, including how much caffeine is contained in a drink.
