According to a report by WTAJ, police arrested 46 year old George Rogers of Altoona and 44 year old Matthew Kephart of Duncansville for allegedly talking payment for work promised on a campsite in Henderson Twp. The report states that both men agreed to do work for a couple in august of 2022, took a payment of $12,500,and agreed that the couple would purchase the materials and they would do the work. But that never happened. The woman told police that rogers forced them to pay the other half of the $25,000, took the money and then removed all of his equipment from the site. Rodgers told the couple that Kephart was quitting, and he had to hire someone else, and never showed up again. Kephart has been arraigned, but Rogers has not.
