
In Blair County, voters will elect 2 new judges to the Court of Common Pleas bench. Only two candidates are on the ballot, Fred Miller and Dave Consiglio. Also, voters will choose the next board of commissioners, with incumbents Laura Burke and Amy Webster vying for second terms. Carol Taylor and Dave Kessling are also running for commissioner, with all 3 seats up for grabs. Also, voters will choose a controller, treasurer, coroner and register of wills Altoona residents will choose school board members, City Council members and Mayor, with incumbent Mayor Matt Pacifico looking for this third and final term in office. The big vote of the day will settle in the county courthouse. Where a massive campaign to oust president Judge Elizabeth Doyle from the bench was undertaken. Voters will decide to either retain or oust her. Also, a retention vote is on the ballot for judge Wade Kagarise. Polls open at 7 and will close at 8 tonite.
