The owner of a strip club in Cambria County is planning on filing suit against Portage Borough, along with several officials. Portage resident Gary Vaughn who owns “Bodies in Motion” is reportedly asking for one million dollars from each of 11 defendants listed in the lawsuit. The lawsuit also mentions three ordinances in Portage that Vaughn believes are a violation of his First Amendment right to free expression, by enforcing ordinances that ban nude or exotic dancing. Although he has not received a citation for violating any ordinances, he reportedly filed the suit in an effort to make sure he doesn’t get one in the future. Reportedly the business is under investigation by the State Police Bureau of Liquor Control Enforcement for allegedly serving alcohol to minors. He is scheduled for a preliminary hearing on Jan 9th.
