Tyrone residents will be facing a tax increase in property taxes next year. Yesterday the Borough Council raised property taxes by half a mill. The increase means that the owner of a property assessed at $130,000 will pay an extra $65 dollars. Council approved the increase to offset costs to pay for bridge repair at Reservoir Park, and to cover other borough costs that have increased.
