A measure that would have given nearly 32-milion-dollars to the University of Pennsylvania’s veterinary school has been shot down. The funding, which is the only vet program in the state,  fell 12 votes short of the two-thirds vote needed. House Minority Leader Bryan Cutler from Lancaster says the idea was likely struck down because of GOP opposition attributed to the school’s recent controversy. The university’s former president, Liz Magill, resigned after testifying before Congress regarding antisemitism on college campuses.
