The Blair County Sheriff’s Office is hoping to recruit more deputies. According to Sheriff James Ott, his office is facing a shortage of 8 deputies. The office is currently accepting applications for full and part-time positions. If you are interested, there are certain requirements that must be met. You must be at least 18, have a high school diploma or GED, pass a drug test and complete Certification Training. The application is available on the Blair County Careers website.
