A condemnation that was issued last month on the Gable’s building in downtown Altoona has been lifted allowing for the 12th Avenue side of the structure to open. However the 11th Avenue side of the building remains condemned. Four of the six tenants on the 12th Avenue side have returned. Those include Keystone Connect, NAACP, Divine Visionaries and Dancing DJ’s. The building was condemned last month due to the failure of sprinkler heads. Reportedly, the 11th Avenue side of Gables will likely be inspected next week, and hopefully open shortly thereafter.
