A 21 year old Altoona man has been arrested after he allegedly engaged in sexual contact with a 13 year-old girl. Authorities say, they began to investigate Braeden Zimmerman last September, after the victim’s mother reportedly caught the two together. The investigation also revealed that the victim’s 14 year old boyfriend orchestrated the sexual contact between the girl and Zimmerman. Authorities say messages discovered in a group chat between the three detailed the teen’s efforts to force the 13 year old girl to engage in sex acts with random strangers, prior to meeting up with Zimmerman. Zimmerman was arraigned over the weekend on statutory sexual assault and numerous other counts, and is being held in the Blair County Prison in lieu of $100,000 bail. His preliminary hearing is slated for March 13th. The 14 year old boy, whose identity has not been revealed due to his age, is also facing charges.
