Two people who were killed in a house explosion in the Pittsburg area have been identified as 87 year old Helen Mitchell and 89 year old David Mitchell. The explosion, which occurred Tuesday morning, destroyed the home, and damaged property three miles away. There was a private gas well and propane tanks at the home, but no official cause of the blast has been determined. An investigation is being conducted by the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco and Firearms, along with the Allegheny County’s fire marshal.
