Enough evidence was presented during a preliminary hearing in Crawford County Court, on Friday to send the case of 52 year old Shawn Cranston to trial. Cranston is charged with two counts of homicide in the February 26th killing of a pregnant Amish woman and her unborn child in her home, in the northwestern part of the state. Cranston, who is from Corry, Pa., is also charged with burglary and trespassing. 23 year old Rebekah Byler was shot in the head and suffered sharp wounds to her neck. Her body was discovered by her husband. Members of the Amish Community filled four rows on one side of the courtroom for Friday’s hearing. Cranston was wearing a bulletproof vest and said nothing during the proceedings. Cranston has been in the Crawford County jail without bond, since being arrested on March 2nd.
