Republicans within the Pa. Senate passed a resolution yesterday urging Governor Josh Shapiro to send Pennsylvania National Guard Troopers to Texas, to guard the border between it and Mexico. It passed with a 27-22 vote, along party lines. Since 2021 Texas Governor Greg Abbott has been fighting the Biden Administration over its ability to secure its own border. Abbot has called on governors in other states to lend National Guard troops to help. Fourteen have responded with help so far. This resolution will now be passed to the Democratic controlled state House.
