An Altoona man has been charged with sexually assaulting a 15 year old girl. Altoona Police arrested 37 year old Anthony Conrad after an investigation found he was allegedly having inappropriate contact with the teen since she was 11, and started having sex with her when she turned 15. Officers reportedly were sent to a home on East Logan Blvd., in March, after receiving information the girl was possibly being sexually assaulted by Conrad. Both denied the claims, however when police obtained the teen’s cell phone they discovered several messages between the two as to when they could have sex. Conrad has been charged with several counts of indecent sexual intercourse with a person less than 16, photographing or filming sex acts, and numerous other charges. He was arraigned yesterday, and is currently in the Blair County Prison in lieu of $250,000 bail.
