More Details Known in Triple Fatality Crash Involving Road Crew Workers

Pennsylvania State Police are releasing details about the sequence of events in which three construction workers were killed in a crash on Interstate-83 in York County , early Wednesday.  The three men worked for Somerset Based CriLon Corp., and have been identified as 24 year old Philson Hinebaugh the third of Johnstown, 42 year old Robert Hampe of Meyersdale, and 24 year old Jesse McKenzie of Somerset. Police say their investigation shows a 24 year old driver in a large box truck hit a construction vehicle in an active work zone. The collision caused the truck to swerve onto the shoulder where it struck the workers.  State Police say the three workers were killed just before 4 am. Officials don’t yet know what caused the driver to swerve.  An investigation continues.
